Kiss of the Sun Gardens is a grower and artisan that operates out of two locations in the tri-city area. The business has a 20’x30’ greenhouse in Forest City and a second garden and sales location in Spindale, NC.
Kiss of the Sun Gardens is owned and operated by Jennifer Roberts. Jennifer grew up crafting and planting with her mother. Her mother always made homemade gifts to sell and loved flowers. The mother-daughter duo even worked together in the greenhouse at Mcfarlan’s Bakery and Country Gardens Greenhouse in Hendersonville.
When the Owner of the Country Garden’s Greenhouse retired, Jennifer started her own greenhouse business. In 2011, Jennifer met her husband and discovered that her mother-in-law shared her passion for plants. Jennifer combined forces with her mother-in-law, Gerry Roberts, the founder of Kiss of the Sun Gardens. Gerry is now retired and Jennifer has taken charge of the family business.
Kiss of the Sun Gardens is another one of our vendors who involve their children in their work! When you buy from Jennifer, you’re allowing her to continue passing down her skills and knowledge to the next generation!

Jennifer brings ornamental plants (Hibiscus, Iris, Begonias, Spider Plants, and more), vegetable starts, produce (tomatoes, green beans, okra, crowder peas, and more), floral arrangements, and homemade crafts to the Rutherford County Farmers Market.
